Figure Drawing

The human body! Need I say more? I've struggled my way through it and I still haven't perfected the art. It is an endless maze, trying to find the right way of doing it.
Truth is, there's no easy way. They teach us how to measure, how to shade, I say
let the artist in you take over and let your hand lead the way!

Birdies

Some of us have the privilege of waking up to birds chirping. I am not a bird-watcher
or a lover of birds but do enjoy drawing these beautiful feathered creatures.
Each one unique in color, shape and size. I think I now know why some can look
at them all day.

Portrait Drawing

Portrait drawing has always been an interest of mine. The depth, contrast and dimension that comes along with making your drawing look exactly like the picture.
The hassle of erasing areas or having to start over makes the learning so much more valuable but the priceless moments come when you hand someone your art and
their face light up at the site of your creations.

There's Hope

The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. We are only human and we face hardships
in our lives. This image was drawn when I was going through a tough time in my life. Feeling miserable and wanting to give up a dove came and gave me new hope. "There
is dry land when the ocean has washed away everything."

Klapmuts Mountain

Though it is just another mountain  like so many others, this one always reminds me that I am home. Covered with clouds on a cold and rainy day or covered  with a glitter-like glow during the hot summer days, this mountain has grown with me. I've seen it been destroyed by wildfires but I have also seen the new life  that came after the destruction. A little piece of my paradise.
